Creating Space for Compassion and Awareness

Hi, my name is Spencer Belsvik.

Born in the waters of Coronado, California and raised in the forests of Issaquah Washington, my philosophy on life is to be grounded in the present and bring compassion and awareness to every action. By studying Japanese and physics in college, I have always searched for ways to expand my understanding of the world around me and my place in it. These studies bred an obsession with the idea of simplicity and efficiency, leading me toward a lifelong passion for gardening and holistic living. To occupy myself during the snowy winters, I started teaching skiing and snowboarding and fell in love with the art of physical play in nature. The culmination of these core beliefs led me to the path I occupy now; creating effortless mobility through bodywork to maximize the human experience.

This is simply the beginning.

I am currently enrolled at the Institute of Structural Medicine’s four year program where I am studying the most comprehensive approach to structural integration by Donna Bajelis. I plan to continue to enrich my perspective with classes in natural building techniques and sustainable farming methods. In combination with lovely wife, Erin Belsvik, who is studying naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University, and life partner, Korein Hudson, who is studying yoga therapy’s Ayurvedic approach, we plan to open a healing center here in Bellingham and farm-to-table holistic healing retreat in the North Cascades where people can ground themselves in the present and return to a space of compassion and awareness.
